Carole was a lovely person to go rambling with, so young at heart and full of fun. She loved listening to other peoples’ stories and sharing her own experiences. She was a wonderful person, always lively and always witty. We greatly enjoyed her company on so many walks, lunches and theatre visits, and we remember her with great affection. On one walk, Ian had gone off into a wood to answer the call of the wild, but didn’t return as soon as expected. After several minutes, Keith Baker offered to go and look for him, and Carole said, “Make sure that you come back with him soon, I’ll never be able to find another one”.
